Well designed systems usually have a buffer / splash-tank built in to handle varying levels of input and output. Caulfield is buffering “age appropriate but eh” presents.

In addition to all the other gifts, I gave my wife $200 cash. Guess what? In addition to all the other gifts, she have me $200 cash.

Yep. Habitat’s truck will be here in a few days.

Our economy depends on it. Like all economies, it’s faith based. Just keep the faith and live in the lie.

OTOH giving the presents before Christmas 1) Shows trust in Santa/parents 2) Allows those who must shop in Thrift stores a chance to get presents for the family in time for Christmas.

Caulfield has good moments but usually outside of school. Would spoil his image with classmates to show that side while in class.

Some people give their kids special toys to put in the Toys for Tots box, or help them pick out one or two. Brand-new toys for kids who otherwise wouldn’t be so fortunate. But clearing out old things by taking them to Goodwill or Salvation Army is a good thing, too.

We go shopping together, but each shops for themselves, except one surprise for each. We then wrap the other’s gifts. No returns!

Hmmm. Americans are an acquisitive bunch. And we’re prone to hanging onto stuff that clutters up our lives.

Boxing Day was yesterday.

My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I said “less stuff”. Bless her heart, what she got me was gift certificates for services, things like movies and massages.

Not understanding why his parent’s aren’t taking him? Also, lines on the face went out DECADES ago. Seriously.
