Men don’t want to be constantly reminded. They figure every six months is sufficient.

Ladies, when a man says “Later.” Or “I’ll get around to it” he means NEVER. Because later never comes. If you can stand it, don’t do it yourself, that’s what he wants. He may apologize but inside he’s thinking “Yes! She did it, now I don’t have to!” Don’t let him get away with it or calling you a nag.

Sometimes when I get up to do something right away, my wife says something like “Oh … I didn’t mean you had to do it right now.”

I’ll comment on this when I get a chance.

Kind of passive aggressive. If you need it done immediately, you don’t start with ‘when you get a chance’.Then again, if I need something done right away, I’ll just do it myself. If I had to wait for any man to get things done, they’d never get done.

On the flip side, when a woman says, “I’ll be ready in a minute,” she does not mean 60 literal seconds. Even my kids used to ask, “Is that a real minute or a mom minute?”

I don’t “hop to”, not Chinese and My wife passed away. I am Now KING of my Castle. That Maid is late again.

And just exactly why does everything a wife says have to be “translated”? ☺

OMG!Aunty, you could’ve saved me a lot of brain-drain and arguments over the years. Better late than never.

Right!

Not my wife! She really means “when you get a chance.” The problem is, even after over 30 years I’m still apt to assume the latter translation and act accordingly. After all this time she still sometimes has to remind me not to take it that way!

When my wife says “when you get a chance” she knows that I will do it when I get a chance. If she wants it now, then she better do it herself. In these days and age, since there is no such thing as “Women’s Work” then there is no such thing as Mens work either.

Because we have to wait for you ladies to put your face on.

I’m not married.

And when she says “I’ll be ready in 5 minutes” and you are going to some live performance like opera or a concert, it means 1 – 2 hours. And you end up sitting in the lobby waiting for the intermission. The third time she did this I left without her because I did not pay for season tickets to sit in the lobby and admire the seat cushions. Reason4658 as to why she is my ex.
