Bought a new apple with M2 pro chip, same old GoComics on the web browser. My M2 pro chip is probably resting now.

I’ll keep my desk top and keyboard, thank you.

I mainly use my desktop computer. I upgraded the motherboard, memory, and CPU earlier this year. I had previously replaced the power supply, and bought two monitors to replace my old one. But besides that, it’s lasted me since 2013. I’ve never used my laptop very much. I used my work laptop for a while, but when I retired in 2016, I bought my first laptop, and it’s served me well since then and I see no reason to get a new one in the near future.

Da.mn AI featueres. They make people more stupid, because people tend to rely on them instead of learning how their stuff actually works and when they have to do something that isn’t covered by AI features they have no bloody idea how to do that.

Must be the reincarnation of Marvin the Paranoid Android or his original incarnation.

I replaced the graphics card in my desk computer last year. One of my wife’s co-workers is a gamer and she was disgusted when I revealed the “new” card was a GeForce 1070 (2016 vintage).

I got my laptop about three years ago.

I finally upgraded my 11 year old laptop from Win7 to Win 10

Ooh! He got the M3! Big sale on those now, what with the M4 coming out in October.

Unfortunately, due to the blessed beings (/s) at Microsoft 400 million of us are being forced to get new computers due to Windows 11. Yes, Mac and Linux are not always an options.

I’m still on the M1 myself. The newer models insist on steering themselves.

Most people could get by on an 8088 as far as processor power. Speed is all they are looking for

I like the way it looks like the laptop grew out of that stump.

We have a nanny car. I don’t need a nanny computer, thank you.
