That’s like when I worked in Pennsylvania’s state-owned/operated liquor store system. I had to ask customers for their ZIP Code once a year. One lady actually asked me, “What’s a ZIP Code?”, 50 years after their introduction! Others said “717” (the area code).

One day at the supermarket. Guy ahead of me with and overflowing cartful. He couldn’t remember his PIN and didn’t think to use the card as a credit card instead or maybe he couldn’t. Anyway he left the store without anything.

I’m pretty good at remembering numbers but for the life of me, I can’t ever remember my cell phone number ( probably because I never call myself! ).

great system, can’t use name or email instead of phone number. My favorites are the ones that give their new phone number “because they just got a new one” instead of the number they signed up with

My husband had our address and phone number on a piece of paper in his wallet for occasions just like that.
