A friend of mine suffered a concussion and was specifically told NOT to read for a while. It was purgatory for her, as she was a professor of literature (retired now).
Is she trying to read it, as opposed to just reading it, because the bump on the head makes it harder for her to focus . . . or because it’s a tough book to slog through?

Guess she’s somewhat alright.

Marcie must have hit her head pretty hard. What kid that age reads Pilgrim’s Progress willingly?
knutdl about 18 hours ago
The Pilgrim’s Progress from This World, to That Which Is to Come is a 1678 Christian allegory written by John Bunyan. (WWW not me)

If Marcie starts seeing double from that concussion, she can always take the easy route and spin Procol Harum’s “Pilgrim’s Progress” instead.

Hardly age appropriate. Get her some Dr Seuss.

This reminds me of another joke.
The Episcopal Church: where Baptists send members of their congregation who suffer from insomnia.

I just read the Wikipedia summary of Pilgrim’s Progress’ plot (which I’m accepting as reasonably accurate). I agree with Patty.

I always preferred Paul Bunyan to John…..

You can’t understand books that old. Might as well try reading Canterbury Tales
