Success! Mildred has managed to pry herself off the couch. And Nancy aided Mildred in overcoming her growing cheeseball addiction by scarfing them all herself.

Maybe 30 years ago, the WaPo printed an article about how Pat Robertson, I think it was, said things on his “religious” shows and his sheeple did what he said, no matter how inane (aside: remind anyone of maga?). He got up on his next show and said that that’s not true and people should write/call the Post to tell them that.
Guess what happened next… yup. They got thousands of letters and calls saying they don’t just do what PR says.
Poor Mildred. Mom needs more kids. THat would loosen up her control on Mildred. It’s logical. More kids means your time is spread more and more. You can’t give this kind of attention and control to one kid when you have several kids.

And we finally get to see who damaged the poor girl and how. Mom seemed so cool when Nancy met her too…
