The trouble is, bad calls (or missed calls) not only frustrate the fans but also lead to cynicism on their part, leading to comments about stupidity or even illegal shenanigans on the part of the officials. Actually, what bothers me more is in the case of MLB, where I’ve heard of bad calls on the part of the umpires being excused as “just part of the game”.
The Bucs had a play where the defensive lineman pushed the offensive lineman’s helmet completely off his head with his hand on the Bucs player’s facemask, but the ref called holding on the Bucs lineman right beside him instead. Sometimes you wonder what the refs are doing during plays, when obvious calls are missed.

Nonsense. It’s reviewable in the UFL and those games run in completely normal timeframe for a pro game.
