I miss skating, complex medial meniscus tears in both knees along with osteoarthritis, all that hard training in my youth has finally come back to bite me.
Recycling/garbage has to go out here the night before – or it will not be out early for pickup – at least not at our house.
It was always my job to put the garbage out as husband didn’t want to touch it. One good thing which came (for me at least) is that he suddenly saw taking the garbage out as a chance to go outside and took over the job. (Though more recently if it is not terribly cold out we take the garbage out together – if cold I stand at the window and watch him take it out as he used to do when I took the garbage out.)

What really helped me put up with freezing weather was move to a warmer climate. Now I rarely think about how cold it is.
If I was Ben, I would just slide the basket like it’s a bowling ball.
