i wish i had walkie talkies for me and my friends. actually, i need it. if u guys can possibly send up a crowdfunding campaign for me (a very good boy) i will give u 200 vigintillion points! or ill just ask someone else, but please :)
We came home from Orlando on one trip, I was wearing shorts and a tank top. When we left it was 93. We arrived in Spokane, WA, and had a two hour drive to home, in snow. I can’t remember if I opened the gate to get onto our place, or my hubs did. Several inches of snow, and very cold. In March.
When I was in high school, we had a spell of bad weather that closed the schools for several days. The district announced that we had missed too many days, so we would have a make-up day during spring break. Not surprisingly, when the make-up day arrived, there were only half a dozen of us in my classes instead of the usual 20 or so, and it turned into a day-long study hall/goof off day. Not academically useful, but at least we got out of the house and had some informal socializing.
Now that I’ve had experience trying to teach online during the pandemic, I think trying to avoid snow days by having classes online is just a waste of time. It’s hard when you’ve had some advance warning to prepare, and almost impossible if you haven’t.

Had a lovely hike in the snow yesterday morning; the neighbor’s son (visiting from Florida) thought I was crazy!

Rose’s eyes in final panel tell her frame of mind well.

I just remembered, Seagull is with Spud, watching a rom-com. Needless to say, he won’t be logging into the online class, as well.

Seriously, what did you expect, Rose? You should know these three well enough to know what their priorities are going to be here. ;)

So get out there and enjoy the snow, kids…
