Not directly related to the strip – I cannot count how many times a young child will come up to me in a store or such and start talking to me. I am not talking about a teenager, but a child. I will say to the child “I am a stranger. Didn’t your mommy tell you NOT to talk to strangers? You should not talk to me without your mommy.”

Then just in case the child is lost from their parent(s) I will watch them until a obvious parent comes and takes them.

I know that once as a child I got in trouble for talking to a stranger. It was a woman with a baby and I said something like “hello” or “is it a boy or girl” or similar. My mom was nearby and was very upset. “How do you know that the lady did not want to kidnap you?” Mom grew up in the time when the Lindbergh baby had been kidnapped.) “But she had a baby and she was a mom.” “Maybe she kidnapped the baby – did you ever think of that?”

Well it was a conversation I still remember some almost 70 years later. And I never did get kidnapped – thank goodness.

Omar will have many strangers to talk to in the unemployment line!

It seems his Mom pays him and has him trained. He should seek employment at home. He’ll be in the basement a long time.

They aren’t strangers…They’re Customers!

Then he’d better not talk to himself. He’s stranger than most.

Why does he even bother to come to work?
