Here in the western mountains of Maine, we have had snow, ice, sleet, and very low temperatures. But spring is around the corner.

We’ve had plenty of snow and ice here in Maryland. Even parts of the Florida panhandle got half a foot of snow.

It got really cold in January but no real snows which I am happy about. Just got another 3" which is fluffy. I can handle that. I have a big snowblower for heavy snows, but the Sno Joe does well for most of what we are getting now, 2 or 3 inches.

Had a little snow the last two days, didn’t stick. This week will be the coldest, with some “winter mix”. Four years ago, the winter mix damaged or took down almost half of the trees in the county. It was summer before the cleanup was complete.

Short of the last week it has been quite warm this winter. Still not spring, and so far not on it’s way. I’ll know the season has changed or is about to when the Rufus humming birds show up on my patio. I hope my little friend that always comes and sits on my shoulder comes back. Two years in a row..

We’re in central Texas, and yesterday the high was 87. A cold front blew through overnight and it’s only supposed to get up to 55 today.

Georgia weather is crazy warm. Not good plants and animals are reacting to the weather. When we get a cold snap back to normal, alot of newly sprouted plants gonna die.

14 degrees one week followed by 70 degrees next week. If you don’t like the weather – just wait a bit – it will change – drastically.

I know the Midwest and East Coast have gotten hammered a couple of times this winter (which is why I no longer live there). Here in San Diego, we already have flowers blooming, insects buzzing, and songbirds showing up. But not to worry our Orange God has assured us that Global Warming is Fake News. If he is wrong he will blame DEI.

A dusting to an inch expected Monday night, then 4-8 Wednesday, and more Friday or Saturday in KC. Yuck

Be patient. There’s still plenty of February left. And March may have something interesting in store.
