Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
In the 1960s I had a Stony Smith instead of GI Joe, a Charger bike instead of a Stingray, and a plaid book bag instead of the cool canvas backpack. Dad was careful with his money and drove a 1964 Rambler Classic.
My mom would bring out the story of the new bike she got one birthday along with a new job as papergirl, because her dad expected her to pay him back for the bike, whenever we asked for big presents. That usually shut us up.
Kids bikes are pretty inexpensive, even when they have all the bells and whistles, with a bit of budgeting maybe a new bike for Zoe by her birthday? She might want an air horn to let everyone know when she’s coming ;)

Speaking of cool bikes, remember back in the 60’s the Schwinn Stingray. Always wanted one but never got it.

And how much $$$ do you contribute to the family budget each month? Nice to be a stay-at-home mom, but don’t insult the only bread winner.

In 1961 I had a Schwinn Varsity 8 speed. Talk of the town.

She should appreciate her vintage Huffy Bmx.

No good wife would ever say that.

Actually, the more "very"s, the more room that leaves for dad to be very, very successful, which isn’t so bad.

Never mind the insult to Dad, that’s the wrong approach on all levels.

How emasculating! Darryl should’ve countered with how hot Kaitlin’s mom is.

“Behind every successful man is a successful woman.” If true, it means she’s a failure, too.

She should’ve said “very very wealthy”. Wealth does not improve your life. It’s our people that matter. Deep down, most of us know that.
