If that is true, it’s another costly, irrational money-laundering scam planned by Michigan’s paid political scum.

Can’t they make floating panels, I hear there’s some kind of a lake thereabouts?

The 400 acres is on state land, taking that land from public use. There is another 800 acres on private land.

Nothing sequesters so-called ‘excess’ CO2 better than trees. If this solar farm is about saving the environment and addressing ‘climate change,’ it’s wrong-headed in the extreme.

There are certainly four hundred acres of rooftops.

This is a perfect example of the idiocy of Solar and Wind electric production. The state actually had some brains when they OKed the restart of Palisades nuclear plant. With it’s restart along with two added modular reactors, the state will have a over 1000MW base station. This will be able to run 24/7 with no problem of the sun shining or the wind blowing, not to mention the destruction of farms and forests.

400 acres of trees? That should keep you in “newsprint” for a little while Mike.

The solar panels I’ve seen near me are covered with snow, so how’s that going guys?

Instead of building over usable land, why not build them high over parking lots or cover roofs with them on large buildings. Gives shelter to parked cars and saves on land.

They should leave the trees alone and put their solar panels on 400 acres of pasture at an elevation of 10-12 feet. That way they can provide shade for the animals, collect the sunshine, and still let the forage grow.

They should put solar panels on windmill blades – double the power!

Yup, sounds good for that environment, and a financial institution or two.
