Aloysius simply could not believe this ridiculous painting, a supposed masterpiece. To not include a French Poodle in with with other breeds on “Poker Game” was beyond outrageous!
(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and Brave search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and click its currently first webpage link for info about this roughly jumbo envelope size, oil on panel painting. LOT ESSAY has a description. The November 1, 2024, strip has the latest by the artist mentioned in that (if you don’t recognize the name). Once the webpage shows an image, I’ll post it to WC. If you need to see a webpage with an image, click a link that starts with "Le chef", or has a thumbnail image of this to the right of the link in the search result list.
Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3438 (January 6, 2025) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .jpg from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing the blog entry with my comment pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. So far, 5 works by him have been used here, the March 26, 2024, strip being the prior.
Henrí du Gros Cul, the noted critic for Le Parisien was baffled. Why was there a little tag at the bottom of this Italian masterpiece that read: Made in China?

/// Here, The Masterpiece makes its debut
for art critics to judge and review.
One squats close to the frame.
Tries to make out the name
of the man it’s attributed to.
/// If the painter is someone who’s famed,
by this critic his works are acclaimed.
With an artist unknown,
then the critical tone
will be harsh and adversely inflamed.

Upon closer inspection, it became apparent that the ‘stunning work of art’ was only a framed painter’s drop cloth.
