For a minute there, I thought she was interviewing Marty Moon.

“The wrestling team took the state championship last year. Are you planning to do as well this year?”

“Nah. Last year was a fluke. This year we’re planning for an epic fail.”

What kind of a stupid question was that? “Are you planning to have another good year?” What coach in the world, after winning a championship the year before, will say they aren’t trying to repeat (or will usually answer hoping to do even better).

FYI, most states in Wrestling have a team State championship competition and an individual State Championship competition . Last year,all we were told was that Irma won the individual State Championship competition for her weight class.

So Irma won the State title in her weight class as other wrestlers from other schools won their weight class all Milford won was the State Championship of Irma’s weight class

Um, what? Milford won the State Title? We never were told/shown this. Last year, all that happened was Inma won the individual state title. That doesn’t mean MILFORD wins the state title. If nobody else on the team did anything, they wouldn’t be state champs. And speaking of doing anything, one thing you should be doing is reading Mopped Up Thorp.
