I have a friend who lives down the Coast in Palos Verdes and they received Emergency evac plans just in case. It is truly Armageddon.

There is no end in sight to these unpressedented winds, Pacific Palisades is basically wiped out. The 2 supermarkets, 2 schools and the library gone, along with nearly all other businesses possibly including my doctor’s office, and the initial report of 1000 structures is expected to at least double or triple. Many are quick to blame the governor for the hydrants running dry, but the water systems were never set up for a catastrophic event like this one.
Keep good thoughts for the feral cats/kittens who are caught up in the fires south of me (about 100 miles) I am sure many will not make it. Some shelters are taking in pets, but they are now full. There is nothing we can do. Be well friends, this will end eventually.
