As a single dad I quickly learned not to ask questions, as Papi does here, that don’t give the answer you want. What Papi and I wanted for an answer is, “I’ll get started now.” See how the answer we want and the real, honest, answer we received differ?
When I was in elementary school my parents went to a PTA meeting. When they came home my mom asked me about my homework. Apparently the other parents were complaining about how long the homework took their children to do it. I rarely had homework and it was finished quickly – mom asked how that could be. “I do it on the school bus coming home.”
I am still like that. I currently have to take 30 hours of online classes and exams to be allowed to prepare income tax returns as I don’t have professional license. The main exam takes 3 hours. Husband will leave me alone in our home office for me to take the classes/exams. He is always amazed at how quickly I get the exams done – how? I don’t read the texts – just take the exams. If I am not sure I look up the info in the the text online. I have 4 tax clients – all with extremely simple and repeating (year to year) income and over 90% of what is in the texts have no relation to my clients or their income and tax return.

I don’t know why not. I think he’s behaving very predictably.
