I bought some type of Asian crackers at Costco… I did not like them at all! I was going to hold onto them until I went in two weeks but ended up feeding them to the quail. They ate most of them.

Bartending works the same way. Nice regulars get fee drinks all the time.

Her husband is on very strict diet. He can’t stomach anything ‘now with taste!’, ‘now with flavor!’, ‘now with nutrition!’, or ‘now with carbohydrates!’. Clearly, ‘LOOPZ’ with box changing design, was a no go.

There actually is a nice customer program. Pleasant customers usually got just what they wanted (and often more) with no problem, while the entitled got the bare minimum (and often less). They think they “win”, but they lost and didn’t realize it. If they only would have taken a moment to be less belligerent…

Of course, if she had denied the refund, the nice lady would have pulled out a revolver and nobody wants that.

There was a very large department store here in Columbus, OH named Lazarus. One of the most successful and long lived businesses in town, owned by one family. It was where everyone went for everything. Huge place and amazing Christmas displays. They had a policy that they honored all requested returns, no matter what. Needless to say a lot of people abused it, returning heavily used merchandise, clothes that were worn through, etc. But everyone loved Lazarus. Then it was bought out by Federated and later became Macy’s and the practice ended.

I always tried to respond in kind to the sincerely polite customers. I know, I was playing favorites.

Oopzie, she made the mistake of buying Loopzie.

I think I need a doctor. I hurt myself reading the Loopz box in each panel. Stephen, can you pick up the bill?

Hmm… there was the old joke about trying to return a spouse but only getting store credit…
