Hunter Gatherer. Maybe this is why dogs enjoy catching frisbees so much, it’s a practical life skill.

The 5-second rule doesn’t apply if you have a 2-second dog.

sometimes my dogs will let it fall, ponder it for awhile, and then eat it. Other times I have to remind them to leave my fingers attached to my hands.

We would have bananas for breakfast. Ask the dog if he wanted the peel. “OOHHH Yes!” so we would throw it to him. 4 banana peals later brudder would offer him a toast point and dog would walk away. Repeat every. single. day.

The probability of the toast falling butter side down is directly proportional to the difficulty and/or expense to clean the carpet.

First dog: I learned that the best way to give him a pill was to drop it on the floor and say, “Oops!”

Every dog since then was trained to not grab whatever was dropped until given permission. What if I drop something that will hurt?

In the 70’s in Lubbock Texas there was a newspaper column called “Jelly Side Down” about silly or embarassing mishaps. I wish I knew the author’s name.

I have a personal theory that whoever invented the vacuum cleaner was inspired by a dog.

I’ve heard some dog owners have trained their dogs to come running at “Housekeeping!” or “Cleanup on aisle 7!” when they drop food, lol
