I flew 1st Class once, from AZ to FL. It was a red eye but still I loved the extra room and no close neighbors. If I were to fly again I’d fly 1st class
Once I flew first class…..due to an error on my booking. They booked me on a flight that was cancelled and told me it was good when I checked. I was on standby on Christmas eve and got there quite late. The return flight I booked was also cancelled, and I got back on first Class on another flight. Guess they tried to make it up to me. Nice, but I wish they had not lied to me. Filed compliant with the FAA.
I just flew International Premium Economy (what used to be Business) to and from Australia. Walked through 1st while boarding, and it looked pretty awesome, but honestly, Premium was pretty darn nice. Domestically, I don’t generally mind Coach, but for a 14-hour flight, yeah, give me the better seat.
We were required to fly in uniform, so I flew home for Christmas with my wife. We were married that year and must have been a cute couple because the boarding agent checked us into first class for our return to base.

I got to fly a few times on business with one of our vice president. He always bumped me to first class. He was a generous executive.

I haven’t flown in decades. The last time I flew, you were still allowed to carry on your pocket knife.
If I have to go somewhere, even cross country, I just drive. The last one (which has been a while) was an 18 hour trip one way.
