I’m not too concerned about the Gulf of America distraction since only MAGAts will use it, and we’ll just revert to the proper Gulf of Mexico once he’s gone.

If Trump changed the name just to change it then yeah, it’s a dumb, pointless move. But if he did it to circumvent the Biden restriction on US drilling in the gulf (while at the same time allowing Mexican, Venezuelan, and Chinese to drill in the same areas) then the move has some merit.

The only time most of us hear about the Gulf is in the sentence, “OMG, it’s a hurricane. We’re all going to die.”

Renaming Mar-A-Lago would likely have already been done if the name change would screw the lenders that hold tRump’s mortgage.

Folks, give the man a break. He thought that he was correcting a sports related spelling error. He meant to call it the GOLF of America.
