New math; I tried helping the grandkids when they were young. They complained that I was doing it all wrong. I’m an electrical engineer with an advanced degree but they insisted I did not know math! Finally, now they are in high school. I show them how to solve math problems. I expect a marine biologist; granddaughter and a CEO; grandson. We’ll see…

So that is why Wilberforce is failing, Brutus does his homework!

Brutus asked if he needed help with his homework and Wilberforce said no thanks because he’d rather get it wrong by himself.

It’s hard helping with math because they do it differently than we did so helping them confused both them and me

He’s working on an out, when they ask why he failed he can say “It’s not my fault, Dad did my homework”.

They all need a tutor.

For me Algebra and summer school were synonymous. Fail Algebra then summer school is in my future.
