Instant disappointment.

Somebody writing a check?

Instant traffic jam.

I love Target. They have like 25 cash registers, and only 2 are open. Plus they recently added self-checkout scanners, so I don’t know what they’ll do with all that space in the store that’s not being used.

Careful with that stuff. It’ll make a nose grow out of your forehead.

Better living through chemistry…

Wallyworld 6am Sunday morning no lines.

And store managers wonder why shoplifting’s on the increase. They’d pay for their groceries if they could!

Instant headache

Minute rice takes 15 minutes to cook. Normal white rice takes 20 minutes, and tastes a whole lot better.

Looks like my grocery store. They have couple of “self-checkout” lanes. But those are not often used. One almost always sees long lines at the lanes staffed by real checkout people. It appears that people are willing to wait so that they can deal with a person.

Not so instant…oy

Or use a steamer – set it and forget it. Perfect every time.

We need food that can be prepared quickly so we have more time to stand in long checkout lines.

That’s why I prefer to wait for delivery.

The other day we went to the store, figuring few people would be there at that time of day. Apparently, a lot of other people had the same idea.

The grocery I go to has a large number of self check outs which are for 25 or less. Only one or two registers are open with long lines. I will only use a self check when a store decides to pay me to be a cashier.

Little known “fact”:

Time travel was invented by using microwave ovens on instant food.

About the same as Meijer and Kroger—plus self serve lanes.

Americans and “instant gratification”, no wonder we are fat, those foods are usually bad for you.
