Ob la di, ob la da… 1968

    Don’t Fear The Reaper… 1976.

For me, a nostalgia riff, for most, ancient history.

For younger readers, “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” is a song by the Beatles from their 1968 double album The Beatles (aka “The White Album”). It was written by Paul McCartney yet credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership.

The chorus for the song is:

“Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes on, La-la, how their life goes on

Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes on, La-la, how their life goes on”

Wouldn’t it suck if Paul died for real the day this came out?
