Of course. I do it a little. I have a little fan that I use to keep the air moving, and if it’s too cold, I wrap up in a throw.

Only thing I like about winter is my soft, cushy, velvety sheets and quilted blanket, even my pillow cases are plush. In summer my A/C can’t get me cold enough to cover up.

I do that when I stay in hotels but at home, I just use a fan and a towel over my middle.

Few things can match a cold room and nice cozy covers. Darn, the electric bill.

Long ago, Tricia Nixon gave a televised tour of the White House. She revealed that President Nixon would turn the air conditioning up high in their living quarters so he could have fires in the fire places. This was shortly before the concept of an Energy Crisis arose — but even so, it was considered by many as wasteful.

I live in Florida. Unfortunately, a/c is a must if for no other reason than to keep the mildew and mold out of the house. I’m always cold. I sleep in sweats and put my electric blanket on. How ridiculous !

I need something on as the AC vents directly on the bed. Usually a sheet is sufficient. The bigger problem is when the AC kicks in I keep waking up to the sound of money being drained away by the electric company.

If I had AC, I would too. I do it in hotels and sleep closest to the vent. I sleep better under blankets.

When her hot flashes first began, my wife literally sprang out of our bed on a very cold Winter’s night, well below freezing, and threw the bedroom window wide open , while yelling “Hot! Hot! Hot!”

The science community agrees with you Aunty. A cool room promotes better sleep.
