All of my Flintstone vitamins are way past their Best-If-Used-By date (by about 5000 years). The color is faded, there’s not much flavor left, and they’re not so chewy anymore (a little closer to crunchy), but there’s no indication of mold nor bad/off smell. I’ll keep taking them until they are all gone and I am Yabba Dabba Through.
I remember when I was a small kid and my mother would give me one of those Flintstones or Sesame Street vitamins each day. They were delicious, but thankfully my mother would store them someplace beyond where I could reach so I didn’t poison myself by eating the whole bottle of them. Although this has changed now, I could not climb when I was a toddler, which my parents probably considered a relief.
Love that Brian Bassett does his research. I couldn’t remember when chewable vitamins were marketed, (gummies are much more recent) so I looked it up: Flintstones were the original chewables, introduced right in the Red and Rover timeline- 1968.
I recall the controversy over the exclusion of Betty in the vitamin assortment. There were rumors of Betty’s death or a messy divorce with Barney. She was finally added in 1995, replacing the Flintstone’s car vitamin.
I kinda-sorta liked out bean bag …..at first anyway. Found out it was a bit hard to get out of it. And… our tom cat liked to pee in it. Discovered that part the hard way.

I don’t think I could ever be as comfortable as Red is on a beanbag chair. Gimme a good ol’ recliner any time!

Good thing it wasn’t the Rubbles’ son! There would be constant “Bamm Bamm” for hours in Red’s stomach!

Rover’s knowledge is impressive regarding the Flintstones, or anything for that matter!

They left out Betty Rubble. “She looked too much like Wilma” was their excuse.

I was raised with Flinstone’s vitamins. “We are Flintsone kids, 10,000,000 strong and growing.”
