I always wondered about Bob’s epic origin story; thank you for retelling it! We have “block ducks”, Harold & Maude, who come back every year to live on our block. Their first stop is always our pond, but since we have Koi, we can’t have the ducks. Then they go to the neighbor’s pool, then back to our pond, then they find a place to call home. For years, they lived a couple houses in neighbor’s backyard, but then their kids got them a dog and ruined it. The couple fed the ducks and took care of the families that were hatched; they really loved them. They love their new dog, too, but they really loved the ducks. Twice a day, we get treated to our ducks doing their flights, in the morning to head to the wetlands, and then in the evening when they come home from a long day of being ducks. We have wetland areas all around our neighborhood, town, and surrounding countryside, plus a couple protected bird parks, so they are relatively safe (I hope!) We love our block ducks!
Why he’s on a perch hasn’t been answered yet, that is part of what Echo asked at the start of the week. (I know the answer, but I haven’t seen the strip that originally explained it.)

She doesn’t want to hear 46 years of stories in one night. Well, maybe Ralph’s wrestling stories.

I thought Bob was there before Patrick and Penny were born.

We have been buying peanut butter cup thins, and Oreo thins. No matter how many I eat, I just can’t lose weight.

It’s interesting that in this arc, Echo acts more like Wendy. I don’t blame her, but still…a bit out of character?
