Not sure how many of you heard the news, but Dana recently announced that Phoebe and Her Unicorn will be ending its daily newspaper format in favor of graphic novels.
This wasn’t an easy decision for her, but she did it because the comic has been selling a lot easier in book format than in newspaper format.
Unbox everything, separate into 2 piles and rebox one pile. Maybe the unicorn knows of a magical place where you can store stuff you won’t be needing anytime soon. Maybe a quicksand bog.
Key moving tip: Don’t tape the boxes shut until the day of the move. That way you can keep curating what to take & what to ditch right up until the move itself.
I have to say there were times when I left stuff packed after the move for months. The adults always dealt with the furniture. And unpacking clothes and bedding was simple if mildly disorganized. Clothes went from closet to closet still on hangers. Or bunched up drawer.
During an office job, we were given a white three-ring binder and we were told to label it for work. I suggested a Beatles White Album theme, but the other workers insisted on something more practical.
I am very sorry to see that the strip will be cutting back to Sundays only. It’s a great strip and I have enjoyed it for years. Good luck, Dana (and Phoebe and Marigold.)
As comments have said the daily strip will end Marth 30th. Dana has on her web site the announcement and what the future will bring. I will miss the new daily comic but am glad she is continuing the Sundays. I hope GoComics starts at the beginning and runs reruns from the start.

I heard some wannabee philosopher try to give a warning about putting people in boxes in your mind.

I’ve lived in the same home for years and I still have some stuff in boxes. In my defense, I have moved around a lot in the past.

I’ve lived out of boxes all my life, always ready to move, because I’ve never felt I had a home. I’ve only had places where I hide.

I remember getting into the habit of never unpacking when I was younger because we just couldn’t stop moving. Hated it!

You’ll want to unpack when you get used to the new house, and make it your home!
