I ring the bell on my bicycle well in advance before I overtake any walkers on the path, but I still manage to startle some of them because of the ear buds. At least turn the volume down a little!
Yes you can. I love the sound of the birds when Iām out walking. Even when the crows are cawing loudly over the song birds.
I never walk around listening to music, or whatever people are listening to on those things. Part of it is that I donāt want to, but also, earbuds absolutely will not remain in my ears. If I want to listen to something without bothering other people at home, I have to use headphones.
Just this morning I thought that āsilenceā (I mean lack of humanely noises) is extremely loud with all the birds chirping nearby and yelling further away (cranes)ā¦ I could not even hear the rustling dry leaves on the beech opposite my window.
I prefer to not listen to āartificialā noise when Iām out. Too many good sounds, sights, smells, and, who knows how many more days I will be blessed by that.

Adjusting the transparency settings would help (at least with Apple Earbuds Pro)

So sad, the bird song is nicer than anything coming through those ear buds.

Iād rather listen to the birds singing than to music when Iām outdoors. I love music and listen often, but not when hiking, skiing or biking.

Birds are descendants of dinosaurs. I wonder if a t-Rex tweeted instead of growled.

I just had an idea. Dogs trained to escort people fixated by ear buds or phones.
