Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Iâm baack! Things were tense at the Afghanistan/Pakistan border, but since the CIA holds my first born, I speak no further about something that I know nothing about.
Welcome back Marg! You see, Dad went back for Marg!
Dad should really think twice about what heâs doing. Invest a little time now and get a whole lot of Calvin not bothering him later.
Allow me to join the others in welcoming you back Marge! I know you enjoyed yourself because I was there many years ago and it is a beautiful and relaxing place.
Hobbes on the other hand is watching TV and reading Calvinâs comic books. That to can be peaceful & relaxing.
Welcome back MARG. I didnât know the Grand Canyon was on the Afghanistan border? Guess I should get an atlas that was published after1976. Anyway, has BP began filling it with all that surplus oil yet? Did gas prices drop as you drove off the edge? Inquiring minds want to know?
Nice to have you back, Marg. G.C is spectacular, isnât it? You came back just in time for the poignant âmissing Hobbesâ story. (thatâs all Iâm going to say - Iâm no spoiler).
I say keep going. Maybe Calvin will learn that, even if you donât want to go, you should get ready so you donât forget things like that. And stalling doesnât help.
Marg: You went to the Afghanistan/Pakistan boarder AND the Grand Canyon? Youâre lucky! I hope you get your child back! Also you said it was in the mid 80âs, I didnât know you had access to time travel⊠LoL.
This strip is beginning to let us see bits of the personalities of Calvinâs parents, especially his mother. Wonder who she is modeled after in the mind of the cartoonistâŠ.
Everyone, forget what you have been told about the Grand Canyon. Forget those spectacular vistas that you have seen on TV. While they are impressive, they cannot do justice to it.
Marg, youâve got the greatest excuses for being absent!
I canât wait til your next trip ends - but of course we donât want you to start any because weâd miss you.
What irony that Calvin is suffering an unbearable (or un-tiger-able?) loss en route to a wedding!
Is it too soon for Calvin to learn that actions and behaviors have consequences? (Of course, that also means that the parents have to live with the same consequencesâŠ)
Hello everyoneâŠstill unsure about posting but enjoy reading all the comments. Marg, hope you had a great visit to the canyonâŠyou know it was carved out by childrenâs tears as their parents left the areaâŠ
I think the parents are about to learn all about âconsequencesâ and rightly so. Heâs a 6-YEAR-OLD. You donât expect 6 year olds to pack for themselves. In addition, logic is lost on 6 year olds â isnât that before the age of reason, canât remember for sure?

To be honest about it, everything other than comments about Calvin is SPAM, including all the personal messages.
I love when Dad shows his limited sense of humor.
alviebird almost 15 years ago
Well, apparently you have some personal spam in Sundayâs comments that someone wants you to see. I donât remember who it was.
Edit: I think it was in âTwo Cows and a Chickenâ.
