ML, no, it was hot! In the mid 80s, yet there was still snow around in places.

I’ve been to the south side of the Canyon. Very nice there, too!

Marg - Did you make it to Tuweep? Or did you stay on the paved roads?

Allow me to join the others in welcoming you back Marge! I know you enjoyed yourself because I was there many years ago and it is a beautiful and relaxing place.

Hobbes on the other hand is watching TV and reading Calvin’s comic books. That to can be peaceful & relaxing.

Welcome back MARG. I didn’t know the Grand Canyon was on the Afghanistan border? Guess I should get an atlas that was published after1976. Anyway, has BP began filling it with all that surplus oil yet? Did gas prices drop as you drove off the edge? Inquiring minds want to know?

Everyone, forget what you have been told about the Grand Canyon. Forget those spectacular vistas that you have seen on TV. While they are impressive, they cannot do justice to it.

It has to be SEEN.

Marg, you’ve got the greatest excuses for being absent! I can’t wait til your next trip ends - but of course we don’t want you to start any because we’d miss you.

What irony that Calvin is suffering an unbearable (or un-tiger-able?) loss en route to a wedding!

Is it too soon for Calvin to learn that actions and behaviors have consequences? (Of course, that also means that the parents have to live with the same consequences…)

Hello everyone…still unsure about posting but enjoy reading all the comments. Marg, hope you had a great visit to the canyon…you know it was carved out by children’s tears as their parents left the area…

To be honest about it, everything other than comments about Calvin is SPAM, including all the personal messages.

I think the parents are about to learn all about “consequences” and rightly so. He’s a 6-YEAR-OLD. You don’t expect 6 year olds to pack for themselves. In addition, logic is lost on 6 year olds – isn’t that before the age of reason, can’t remember for sure?
