I’m trying to think of something that will edge up to the line while tweaking the above posters, but I’m not up to it– still on my first cup of coffee. And why piss off Wiley (unnecessarily)?

Hey, was that really Wiley?

no bdaysuit, just some dude, with the same name, that creates comic art in the same style as him. Really “wiley” is the pseudonym used by the chair of the committee that oversees the board of wry hysterics. D’oh!

This sequence is rather reminiscent of my older sister when we were growing up though. She’s a corporate lawyer now.

I would like a reprint of a priest a reverand and a rabbi walking into a bar. The bar tender say “very funny”.

I can see it now, the latest and greatest bumper sticker, for a limited time only:

“Adopt an attitude of gratitude!”

On sale now at your local bumper sticker retail outlet, (which are owned and operated by none other than Wiley’s own Danae, franchises are still available, but are selling fast).

Just think what Danae would do with the concept of Thanksgiving

I know I’m grateful that Wiley continues to deliver such a wonderful comic strip, day after day.

If you want politics go to the editorial cartoons. As to the question of Obama and the Nobel prize maybe look at the judges motives ..dont blame Obama.ANd if you dont like the way things go ,,you can always VOTE

Danae worries me…

Wiley – I remember when your strip first was in the Grand Forks Herald – and I have enjoyed it since. There was a long span, however, where I couldn’t find it, so, Danae’s adventures always give me a good belly laugh. I work with a group of camps in the summer, and I’ve seen quite a few children who could give Danae and Calvin runs for their money.

The way I heard it was, bartender says, “What is this, some kinda joke?” Goes right over most people’s heads. A bit too surreal, a guy-walks-into-a-bar meta-joke.

Remember. there are political cartoons just a click away and you can comment on THEM all you want. And people do, sigh.

I come to the comics to escape from the reality of the day. Life can be a downer sometimes. If you have a political or religious comment present it where it is warranted. Just because you think that you have an opinion that everyone should hear…doesn’t mean that you do. Laughter and escapism is such a pleasant answer.

Ahh Wiley, I have an attitude of gratitude for your cooler heads prevail. This is a place of escape from the so called norm and the weight of reality. Your innuendo an subtly as to danae’s meaning is terrific. Thank you for not letting anyone spoil it with reality. I enjoy this comic more than any I have read recently. Second only to Calvin and Hobbs but a similar thread there too. Kudos to you

Thanks Wiley. I’ve spent a lot of time on the editorial cartoon pages, and after awhile I got so burned out from the sniping. I’ve been coming to the regular comics more and more for a break from the heavy-handedness. BTW, I love this cartoon and can never wait to see what Danae will come up with next. Her attitude of gratitude is perfect.

As someone else said, I too think more cartoonists should keep an active watch on their comic pages. Thanks for doing your job, Wiley. I do like Non-Sequitur a lot!

Readers do come to the ‘toons with their fears and worries still a-quiver.

“Expectation colors perception”.

While everything isn’t about the worries of the day, many of us must land here with the latest rant still ringing in our ears (they sell toothpaste, and it seems they multiply.)

Let’s enjoy the meta-message of the ‘toon, perhaps about our inherent moralities (or in Danae’s case, A-moralities) and have a respite.
