I received several messages over the weekend inquiring about the book deal. Yes, I do still have books to sell. And here’s the pitch for all you newcomers (welcome, BTW!):The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover (http://tinyurl.com/3uytdhy), it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, email me for my snailmail. And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)
Okay … third panel – we have us one smitten kitten. This really has been an amazing arc, drawing into the characters with so little being said. Aaron, I’ll say it again: I love this comic strip.
I wouldn’t say Wally is smitten, more realizing that he has to get over himself. Holly looks like she’s trying to hide some tears. It’s nice that she’s giving him a chance to catch up, but it’s obvious that she could outrun him in a second if she wants to. Remember though that it wasn’t that long ago that he was living on his own on the surface. Going to sleep in buildings is never going to be easy for him.
I find something a little strange here. -She works at a bar -She tends to get in situations where she get chased -She says ‘no one ever catches me’ -She asks people to chase herCan I assume she likes being chased? Is this an issue that will be later addressed in the plot?
Maybe she just keeps in touch and in control of her mouse side by occasionally letting herself be chased but made sure no one can catch. And we’re really good, all of us, for not going for the obvious tail-chasing comments. :)
No dialogue but I understand everything being said, I am constantly amazed at the level of emotion that is shown in the artwork of this strip. I have a question for Aaron, should he read this. Have you ever considered selling autographed prints of your daily work?
Oh, how sweet!Go, Holly, go!Wally will pull out of his “funk”, and realize he loves Holly.Holly will eventually outrun Wally, call the race over, and go back to “catch” him.
I just recently came across this strip, but I have to say, it’s quickly become one of my faves. Keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll be a fan for life.
Finally got the book after the postal strike. Great story, and as it happens, perfectly in tune with this week’s strips! Excellent timing, somehow, in the end. :) (And yeah, I got a Holly mini-sketch. Wee!)
