Is Ray talking about the Sarah Palin doll?

I’d like to see Garry Trudeau mock Michelle Bachmann. Although she and Sarah Palin are interchangable.

I don’t think sleeping is going to be a habit for Ray.

B.D. is not just sanguine, he’s complacent. Trudeau evidently is struggling with his own liberal complacency that tries to pretend the world is based on reason not violence.

I think Ray was B.D.’s top when deployed together in Iraq. As others have said, brothers in arms can be closer than blood.

It is absolutely amazing how the libs can convert a comic strip about war into attacks on conservatives, especially conservative women!

But the point is well taken. Does BD need to find one of his family dead on the living room rug before he suggest Ray find some help and a new place to stay? Ray, for all my sympathy for him, is a stone killer with his restraints on “frayed”.

Some liberally-inclined readers of Doonesbury may be waiting for Ray to “evolve” into a more rational, or temperate person. Don’t count on it. “Someone who has to struggle for temperance is by nature intemperate” (Aristotle).

JosephBidenJr99 : keeping the bridge to nowhere funds and constructing the road to no-where is not conservative. Or allowing your teen daughters to get pregnant either.

I had several uncles and aunts that were friends of the family rather than blood relatives.

Your link is spot-on, FriscoLou. Chaos doesn’t realize that the really “cheap shot” is Newsweek’s photo of this soulless woman. The doll captures what Palin’s makeup and glasses hide: her bestial eyes. Those are truly frightening.
