Difference is that, until 1990, the list of “trending baby names” was just variations of names that were (mostly) used for centuries or millennia before. Now people make up names, like “ABCDE” above, and they somehow catch on.

A woman named Royal Highness died up here a few months ago. She was in her nineties.
