OK, where’s my dang DT? I keep reloading this page, and there keeps on not being a new installment! What’s going on here!?

A strad is the first step… How long will it be before the Strad is totally out of the picture, with no meaning to the ‘story’?

Tried another browser, just in case my ad-blocker was the problem. No dice. I can’t see the comic strip, and page’s formatting is all jacked up! Anybody else experiencing this?

The next step in their plan involves the theft of a historic woodwind, thus insuring that this excuse for a plot line will have both sax and violins.

Flight Suit, occasionally I get a scrambled GoComics page, when I sign in then attempt to reload the original. I fix it by clicking on the link again, page usually comes up OK. I’m using XP & FireFox.

Yesterday’s strip never showed a passenger only a bald headed driver. Driver’s head must be in shadow to look like he has hair. I wonder if the son will be surprise and snockered if no money.

Wow - so they carry a priceless Stradivarius in what looks like a guitar case…

OMG! Three panels, two of which didn’t just recapitulate the previous day’s strip! Is there a possibility that I’ll have to check in more than once a week to check on the progress(?) of the plot(?)?

No, sorry, no matter where you read it, the writing and art are done by Locher and Brozman.

Now…how do these guys know it’s a “genuine Strad”? There could be anything in that case. Even if it’s a violin, they have no way of knowing it’s genuine. And here they sit, congratulating themselves that they paid a mere $2 million for something they got from a twenty-something on the street corner. Yes, I know this was prearranged. Still…surely nobody would actually handle it this way. And now the first violin, Jack Cobb, is worried sick about how he’s going to play tonight when there are probably twenty excellent violins available to him. No thought of the loss of a multi-million dollar instrument, it seems. And I still can’t imagine them taking the thing out in a snowstorm. Does the boss have long hair? He was bald yesterday. Must’ve mixed Viagra in with his Rogaine.

Take the time to look again at the mid-panel to absorb a ”photocopy” recollection of today’s Rogue. ”Long black hair, sharp, pointy chin and exagerated Tracy chiseled nose.

Now take a vacation and come back on Sunday, Dec.27. And what do you get ? A startling morphing of (Flight Suits’) “Barbara” ,into a now over-fat Sydney Greenstreet, and NO hair, with shiny billiard bald head.

And if I could add, watch the Villain get fatter and fatter with each depiction and the chisel noze morph completely away by Dec.31..

Way back in the 1980s, Dave Barry wrote a column explaining why the Stradivarius is so valuable. According to Barry, there’s ten ounces of pure cocaine in a secret compartment under the chin rest. If Locher actually takes the story in that direction, I think Barry should sue him…

JAD, you are a genius! You were the first to post that it could be a rare violin in the the violin case. As a matter of fact, you were the only one to post that observation. Thank you for guiding us through another complex story line.

I must say that those guys are really trusting souls. The buyers didn’t even look inside the guitar, er, violin case to see if it has anything inside and the kid might have an empty lunch box!

Yep, it’s a big car. It looks much smaller from the outside.

In case anybody’s interested, the issue I was experiencing with the site happened in both OS X and Windows XP, in both Safari and Firefox.

This site gives me a few problems sometimes. It appears that MSIE8 and Windows Vista are protecting me from some of the dangers. A few days ago, just after I posted a comment, a virus was found and when I posted a second comment, the virus reappeared. The popups are sometimes unstoppable with avast!, McAfee, and Avira.

I don’t like to post a competitor’s website on the host site, but, I know that you like Dick Tracy, Flightsuit. So here’s a site that has DT and it’s usually posted about 15 minutes ahead of GoComics…

It would have been more original if the violin in question was The David. The late Issac Stern’s Guarnieri.

This isn’t the first time somebody’s brought up the issue of viruses on this site. Has anybody bothered to contact GoComics support about these issues?
