Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Tried another browser, just in case my ad-blocker was the problem. No dice. I canât see the comic strip, and pageâs formatting is all jacked up! Anybody else experiencing this?
The boss is driving - isnât that a tad unusual in the underworld?
Flight Suit, occasionally I get a scrambled GoComics page, when I sign in then attempt to reload the original.
I fix it by clicking on the link again, page usually comes up OK.
Iâm using XP & FireFox.
Thanksgiving is done
A new arc has begun
The art I will not be anointing
For again it is quite disappointing
Tracy sat in his domestic bliss
The circus surely, he does not miss
Tess has told him of a plan you see
They will go and see a symphony
The maestro a call does make
Seeking a son who is a flake
Find this missing person says he
But he really just wants the Stradivari
Ten million they said the son could get
But he just took two, boy, what an idiot
The baddies now have the fiddle
What happens next is the riddle
In the weeks to come what will we see
A gripping tale, or more inanity?
Yesterdayâs strip never showed a passenger only a bald headed driver. Driverâs head must be in shadow to look like he has hair. I wonder if the son will be surprise and snockered if no money.
OMG! Three panels, two of which didnât just recapitulate the previous dayâs strip! Is there a possibility that Iâll have to check in more than once a week to check on the progress(?) of the plot(?)?
NowâŚhow do these guys know itâs a âgenuine Stradâ? There could be anything in that case. Even if itâs a violin, they have no way of knowing itâs genuine. And here they sit, congratulating themselves that they paid a mere $2 million for something they got from a twenty-something on the street corner.
Yes, I know this was prearranged. StillâŚsurely nobody would actually handle it this way.
And now the first violin, Jack Cobb, is worried sick about how heâs going to play tonight when there are probably twenty excellent violins available to him. No thought of the loss of a multi-million dollar instrument, it seems.
And I still canât imagine them taking the thing out in a snowstorm.
Does the boss have long hair? He was bald yesterday. Mustâve mixed Viagra in with his Rogaine.
Take the time to look again at the mid-panel to absorb a âphotocopyâ recollection of todayâs Rogue. âLong black hair, sharp, pointy chin and exagerated Tracy chiseled nose.
Now take a vacation and come back on Sunday, Dec.27. And what do you get ? A startling morphing of (Flight Suitsâ) âBarbaraâ ,into a now over-fat Sydney Greenstreet, and NO hair, with shiny billiard bald head.
That strip, includes âeverythingâ, that happens between now and the next two and a half weeks. And, as Grockstein once observed, provides a release of only one little âtit-bitâ of forward movement each week. Locherâs version of âNothingâ Yonson in Dick Tracy
Sorry bassmanbob. Aside from change of shape, Iâm not commenting on story advancement. Not that anyone expected much anyway
Way back in the 1980s, Dave Barry wrote a column explaining why the Stradivarius is so valuable. According to Barry, thereâs ten ounces of pure cocaine in a secret compartment under the chin rest. If Locher actually takes the story in that direction, I think Barry should sue himâŚ
JAD, you are a genius! You were the first to post that it could be a rare violin in the the violin case. As a matter of fact, you were the only one to post that observation. Thank you for guiding us through another complex story line.
I must say that those guys are really trusting souls. The buyers didnât even look inside the guitar, er, violin case to see if it has anything inside and the kid might have an empty lunch box!
Flight Suit said, âIn case anybodyâs interested, the issue I was experiencing with the site happened in both OS X and Windows XP, in both Safari and Firefox.â
This site gives me a few problems sometimes. It appears that MSIE8 and Windows Vista are protecting me from some of the dangers. A few days ago, just after I posted a comment, a virus was found and when I posted a second comment, the virus reappeared. The popups are sometimes unstoppable with avast!, McAfee, and Avira.
I donât like to post a competitorâs website on the host site, but, I know that you like Dick Tracy, Flightsuit. So hereâs a site that has DT and itâs usually posted about 15 minutes ahead of GoComicsâŚ
This isnât the first time somebodyâs brought up the issue of viruses on this site. Has anybody bothered to contact GoComics support about these issues?

What kind of sinister plan involves an old Italian violin?
FLIGHT SUIT over 15 years ago
OK, whereâs my dang DT? I keep reloading this page, and there keeps on not being a new installment! Whatâs going on here!?

A strad is the first step⌠How long will it be before the Strad is totally out of the picture, with no meaning to the âstoryâ?

FLIGHT SUIT! Youâre not missing anything anyways.

Am I the only one who canât see the strip?

Flight Suit, you are not authorized to view this strip. Unless you change to Linux.
FLIGHT SUIT over 15 years ago
Dang it! Iâm gonna reboot in Windows XP and see what happensâŚ
Kiba65 over 15 years ago
flight suit, if you canât see the strip, just how do you make a comment???
FLIGHT SUIT over 15 years ago
Kiba65, I could see almost everything but the strip itself.
Now that I can see the strip, I have this to say:
Barbara Streisand is driving off with a stolen Strad?
WHAT is Babs up to?
Will Barb Ells get involved?
Dylanio21 over 15 years ago
Is there anywhere to find these strips in higher quality?
ARF2 over 15 years ago
The next step in their plan involves the theft of a historic woodwind, thus insuring that this excuse for a plot line will have both sax and violins.

Sharp ARF2!
WHAT!!! Not only did the guy grow hair, but today he is suddenly not driving anymore and he has a passenger who is doing the driving.

Try the Houston Chronicle. It has a good reproduction of this strip: http://www.chron.com/apps/comics/showComics.mpl

No, sorry, no matter where you read it, the writing and art are done by Locher and Brozman.

And if I could add, watch the Villain get fatter and fatter with each depiction and the chisel noze morph completely away by Dec.31..

It would have been more original if the violin in question was The David. The late Issac Sternâs Guarnieri.
