The comment from yesterdays strip and the use of &**^%, I stand corrected, sorry about that as I use profanity myself…All you guys and gals that make all these comments everyday ads to the pleasure of a good strip.
How do criminals always manage to build such hi-tech expensive hideouts with heavy sliding brick walls and a trick brick switch?Do they hire high-priced contractors and then kill them all when they finish?Don’t the contractors ever get suspicious?
Vista Bill was right! It’s one of the best DT strips I’ve ever seen! I thought for sure that the story would end today with a fight and a car crash. You guys make me glad to be wrong!Joe, Mike, Shelley and Shane – you’ve all outdone yourselves today!
Pet microchips are scaned to give an ID number. To date no RF chips of anysort commonly implanted. Some collar tracking dedvices for hunting/Search and Rescue dogs, but not pets. Ken Harkewicz, VMD
I like the name ‘Stephanie Queen,’ a writer. A clear take on ‘Stephen King.’"
Stephanie Queen was a Collins/Fletcher-created character. She was (and, presumably, still is) a horror novelist, like her real-life counterpart, who hired Tracy and Johnny Adonis (during Tracy’s short-lived period as a PI), to investigate the old house, which she thought might be haunted by the “Ghost of Itchy.”
And Gweedo,
Re your comment:
“The economy has to be pretty bad when the dog nappers can find a market for generic hounds.”
Dognappers steal mutts because they make cheap fodder when training fighting dogs. A significant percentage, perhaps a majority, of stolen dogs are stolen by people who are involved in dog fights.
First, let me say clearly that this is great comic stripping, and Dick Tracy appears to be in top form. I agree with everyone that the DT team is making this a pleasure to look forward to,every day. But . . .(you could feel that “but” coming, couldn’t you?)BB Eyes jumped from a police cruiser directly over the viaduct into a garbage scow, and came up with an aqua lung??? What, was he carrying it in his jacket pocket? Or was there a working aqua lung mixed into the rubbish on the scow? And, when Itchy and Mrs. BB Eyes captured Tracy, BB Eyes was gone already. BB Eyes was not part of the plot to starve Tracy in that old house. What is the term used today for this – retro conning, I think you call it.Notwithstanding all of those little nit picks, Dick Tracy is a lot of fun to read, and the art looks great. Thank you.
I’m glad everybody likes the new Dick Tracy’s looks and stories. I do too. It’s not that I thought all of the last writer’s stories were good, I didn’t. I was just being a loyal DT fan. Also it had been so long since I had read DT that I did not realize how poor it had gotten. I meant no offense to anyone.
Actually there is a market for them. They sell them to people who fight dogs as “training partners” – the mutts get killed by the fighting dogs – and there’s probably a market in medical experimentation.
I suspect that BB Eyes “aqualung” is actually a rebreather as the aqualung was not invented until 1943 a year AFTER his supposed drowning and being open circuit produces lots of bubbles—we saw NO bubbles in the original 1942 strip.

My first impression on seeing the Crimestoppers panel was that the dog was suffering from a vowel shortage.

The only way to add to the perfection will be if BB Eyes tell Dick he’s thick as a brick.
