funny, for me, there’s something magical about forgetting to bring the umbrella that seems to have this same effect!

Actually, I can resonate with this. I am always somehow impressed whenever an umbrella works and does its job. Often I don’t use an umbralla; seems that deep down I want to reserve the Magic for important occasions.

For me the magical moment is when it’s pouring with rain, I have two minutes to get to the bus stop and I actually manage to find an umbrella before I have to leave the house.

I had basic training at Lackland AFB, near San Antonio. I was also at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, and Harlingen AFB about 25 miles from the Mexican border in south Texas. Altogether, I was in Texas for more than two years My son lives in Gillett and was previously in Beeville, among other places.I understand that Presidio often is one of the hottest places in the USA.
