Please Joe and Mike don’t make this interesting story end soon! And a little detecting by Tracy thrown in and you have the finest strip going. (The art is already there and the stories, though brief, have been snappy in terms of dialogue and characterization.) Just give us some Tracy studying fingerprints and such (in addition to crashing through garage doors etc) and I will sing your praises forever.
Two bearded terrorists (one with full beard, the other with goatee) are no match, I suspect, for Morning Gloria. She’s probably been dealing with cheap, wannabe thugs for years without much difficulty….
Sorry, I meant no insult. They didn’t seem like smartass comments or joke comments. They seemed like comments from people who just had missed the history previously given, and honestly thought it was a Superman reference, and I thought it faster to repost the history than to make people dig for it. shrug
They had better be careful. Morning Gloria and Mina pick up extra cash as a tag team wrestling duo. Saw ’em on ESPN. Morning Gloria does the airplane spin and slams her opponent down, while Mina climbs up on the top rope and does a belly flop on the other “lady”. They are awesome!
To Jim Doherty, Thank you for the replies to my questions. I guess I missed the strip about Liz telling Groovy about losing her first husband. I am guessing it must have been because of one of the newspaper strikes. I don’t remember but it has always been back there in my mind. Again, thank you very much.
Granted, the one on the left looks a bit like Lawrence Talbot halfway in transition to Wolfman, but he bears a stronger resemblance to Paul Bunyan. The guy on the right looks like Abe Lincoln, the Rail Splitter. Give them a couple of axes and Paul and Abe could deal with the gals.
A search warrant? Based on what? “Gee, Your Honor, I tried to buy some flowers from this greenhouse, and they said they were booked up, so, therefore, they must be selling bomb making ingredients to terrorists.” How far do you think that would fly in today’s courts?
This is turning out to be interesting. Especially the ‘wolfman jack’ duopoly here. They speak as though they’re use to getting their way, especially with women. I smell something, and it isn’t (NH4)(NO3)Can I dream that they will get their…behinds handed to them, by Morning Gloria and her dim-witted nurse? One can dream, yes?
this is truth: The guy in panel 3 looks just like me, but my hail & whiskers are gray! I’m gonna post my picture in a day or so and you all will see. Mike & Joe you should call that fella johnrussco, but that’s not my real name.
RE: Stupid Strip Tricks (ObLetterman reference)Here’s the URL for today’s zoomed strip:http://cdn.svcs.c2.uclick.com/c2/055003609f77012e2f8200163e41dd5b?width=900.0See where it says “width” near the end?Change the 900 to a larger figure, say, 1600, the width in pixels of a lot of monitors these days.Hit return.Marvel at the now larger strip.(Caveat! This works on my Macintosh, running OS X 10.5.8 and the browsers used are Firefox and Safari. Your mileage may vary.)
“Explosive fertilizer”? Interesting. Normally the fertilizer is a component of the explosive (in particular the nitrate-based oxidizer, with the fuel component being something like diesel. Amazing what you learn showing videos in high school science classes). I’m thinking “explosive… uh… fertilizer” is what the two terrorists are going to emit when they first meet up with Morning Gloria…

Those guys haven’t seen Morning Gloria yet! Plus, I would imagine that she has a monopoly on the explosive fertilizer market…

Let’s see if Morning Gloria is as big of a pushover as they think…GM, VB!

If she’s got Mina as a backup, they are in for a rude awakening.

Mr. Doherty: Is it just me, or do I detect a more ‘Gould-ish’ look to Liz’s eyes of late?
