I remember reading a story when I was a kid about how the burgers of a medieval European city couldn’t get a long piece of timber through the door of the cathedral they were building. Suddenly they saw a bird with a twig having the same problem getting through the keystone on tha archway. Then the bird turned sideways and got through, so the townspeople did the same thing and dedicated the archway to the bird. Funny, how I haven’t thought of this story for perhaps 60 years until now!
Of course he should put it on outside; I see no problem with taking his bag-plane’s hung from his shoulders and hands are free! Love that it’s complete with goggles and white scarf!
Oh the whole, I love the strip without the 3rd child. I hope Lynn does not rush to re-add the 3rd child anytime soon. The strip has a slightly slower pace to it, which is relaxing.
That is an awesome costume. The only things I would have done differently would have been to paint Brittish bullseyes on the wings and dress Mike as Snoopy. I understand copywrite laws probably wouldn’t have allowed that in this strip however.
That’s probably one of the cutest Halloween costumes I’ve ever seen in my life!!! Much better than picking up something really popular at the store that everyone else will be wearing too (like E.T., for instance). I’m so glad he decided to take his costume choice in a much different direction and because this one is so original, no one else will have one like it!
BAILOUT! BAILOUT! BAILOUT! Once Michael’s out of the plane, they can turn it sideways, take it out the door, and he can climb back in and slip the surely bounds. Sorta.

Micheal needs to watch “Finding Nemo” again – the scene with the pelican and the seagulls…

But with Mike WEARING the costume, he can’t get through the door. He can’t turn sideways far enough without his head hitting the door frame.

He looks like Mickey! In the Night Kitchen….

Should have made a carrier aircraft. Folding wings.

I’m sure you and dad can figure this out Michael.

Major problem. No room for loot.

So what’s the problem? Take the costume outside, and have him put it on out there.

That’s the idea, kid.
psychlady about 13 years ago
Yeah, put it on outside and hang a huge trick or treat bag from the wing – or aroung Mike’s neck or whatever works!
leedb about 13 years ago
You should have made it a U.S. Navy plane – they have folding wings.

He will so get extra loot for this cool costume.

Just turn the kid sideways and carry him out. Problem solved.
Or cut him in half with the chainsaw .. but that brings a whole other problem …

Michael and his daddy are really intelligent. They’ll figure out what to do.

Could Michael show a little enthusiasm and gratefulness first? Haha! I want it!

I think John just has to modify the wings to fold up, like an Imperial shuttle craft.

@JanCinVV :You mean I’ll be 80 years old by the time April will be born. I hope I’ll still be alive!
