good one… always cracks me up when on the biggest loser (wife watches) the 300+ pound guys take off their 8 oz tee shirts for “weigh-in” ’couse w some of them, that also takes off a pound or two of sweat….
I weighed myself in the buff one morning and then immediately put my clothes on (jeans, shirt, sox, shoes, underwear…all the relatively normal stuff) and weighed myself again. It added five pounds. Probably mostly in the jeans and the shoes. I can completely understand why he’d want to take off the clothes…
I wonder if an alternate title for “The Biggest Loser” was ever “Lose Weight by Proxy”?One day my wife marveled at how much weight the contestants lost, and I made the mistake of saying that they did not lose it by sitting on a couch watching TV. Go Losers!! Meant in the best possible way of course, It takes a lot of work to deal successfully with a weight issue.
Are any other strips on gocomics having as much trouble being posted? One day it’s B&W, next day the line art is missing, now weird grainy color… I dunno.
Now GoComics wants me to subscribe, in order to " support the cartoonists". The site can’t even get the colors right. I know for a fact that the cartoonists aren’t compensated reasonably. I wonder if they’ve ever heard of “cost of living”, and that people need to pay their bills. Who’s getting the benefit from these subscriptions? It’s certainly not the ones who are doing most of the work!
I weigh myself in AM right after toilet visit and hand wash; for me it does not matter if I wear nothing or nightgown, slippers and a bigshirt for morning air coolness. I am maintaining my weight about what it was at 21 (and I was 74 last month).
The site seems to have occaisional issues with color on many strips but they vary. Since the 2 sites joined, I read more here than any other – but I like Arcamax and it has comments. I read current OBH there and many others in local papers (and Dilbert)

Wrong setting on the scanner?

The strips aren’t scanned in color. They’re scanned and THEN colored. I’ll have to check and see if there was a problem with the file.

It is the latter day animated Olive. I used the Segar version before, but I just thought I’d mix it up.

Roy still hasn’t thought of taking off his glasses. But he hasn’t stopped cooking up schemes.

I asked about the color. No answer yet. Someday they’ll get this site right. It IS 2011…

When I first saw the “grit” I thought is was some kind of body odor display.

My weight loss trick is to get a hair cut and lose 5 pounds over night. Too Bad Roy can’t try that.

And this is why I like weighing myself in the privacy of my own bathroom. Plus I have to keep my glasses on so I can read the scale.
