I really hope not. It’s kind of getting old when Luann gets chosen for everything or by every guy in the strip.

Elwood is greasy, lowdown, despicable, and utterly uncaring about other people (except insofar as he can use them). So, maybe he really is a producer.Tiffany would be able to play “first, nameless, pre-credits victim” in a teenage slasher-film, but anything more would above her ability.

Elwood’s just doing his imitation Hollywood producer schtick…..

He’s still smarting from rejection by Luann, so now he has to act even more like a big shot….

As if the job had been his to offer, or he had anything to do with the selection process.

we could look it from “another perspective”. maybe Tiff is “too well known” by the producers and they see her like Terrell Owens is seen as team obliterator , and is why she was not chosen

Start making sense, Elwood. If Tiff is not playing the part because she is not an unknown, what is she known for? Perhaps her Miss Chamber fiasco is rearing it’s ugly head?

Ah – Thanksgiving is almost here. Time to check in with the rest of the cast and see where everybody stands.

comic strip writers must also write soaps. they drag the story out just as long and jump around just as much.

Elwood, Ann Eiffel, and Dirk are seen mostly in black. Coincidence? I think not. Kind of like the white hats and black hats in the old westerns.

He says they wanted an unknown and it’s not her. Hmmm… this could be more blowback from that firefighter dinner scam from awhile back… which TJ also got away from blameless.

I already hate this storyline. I mean, we all know it wasn’t gonna be her, why make a whole freakin’ storyline outta it.

I hate it when we are left hanging on a dramatic storyline…why interrupt the Bradoni story with such predictable stuff?

Does anyone think Greg Evans could spin another strip from Luann? If so, which characters would be in it?

@geneking7320: I wonder if even Greg could spin off another syndicated comic strip nowadays. I get the impression that print comics pages are shrinking. I don’t look at the ones I used to see in the Detroit Free Press; they eliminated too many I enjoyed. I get my strips emailed from Daily Ink and gocomics. Greg touches on some of this in his latest column, I just noticed.

Awww…And after everything she did just to get famous. I hate to think her scandal as Miss Chamber of Commerce had something to do with it.

Elwood apparently is every bit the skilled manipulator as Ann Awful, but then Tiffany with her gigantic ego and lack of brains is an easy mark. I’m a bit curious to see what it is Elwood wants/is scheming for – I want to see “the setup” – and wish that Greg would move this story faster, because Tiffany is pretty one dimensional and boring.

Ah, the price we pay for fame….On the bright side, it kind of puts her in the same league with the Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore and all the other big-time celebrities..Emphasis on “kind of”…

Considering how obvious Luann getting the part is, the fact that it is so obvious a plot twist shows it will not happen, but because we see it for the plot twist that it is, and therefore not happening, it therefore ollows that she will.Norman, I am Lying

Tiffany, you’re doing it all wrong! If you don’t want to be an unknown like Luann, maybe you should contact someone in Puerto Rico. I think Yenny will give you some great dressing tips, but then, you will be probably get kicked out of school!

Where can this arc go without Luann becoming part of it?.So I would guess that she will.

She looks creepy in panel 4. She’s a much bigger quackerface than Toni is anyday of the week. Toni’s a hottie, this one’s a nottie.

Now do we have to wait a month before we get to see Toni and Brad make up?

After the admittedly compelling Greg/Toni storyline, I am ready for Luann to come back. We will see…

Not unless Greg hates money or being popular, and he doesn’t seem to be allergic to either of those.

It would be funny if the only character with the ambition to be an actor got the role then we’d see Toni’s brother Jonah dressed up in the Zeye costume.

You are right..We did think TJ had a plot up his sleeve. But it was nothing. A bummer for the kid.

From the newcomer…who is Elwood? A former student? A stalker of high school girls? The runt of the Blues Brothers’ litter?

Exactly what I was thinking. Especially since she didn’t even audition for the role, she’s a shoo in. Logic does not exist in Greg Evans’ universe.

If any critique or observation that isn’t 100% supportive of the strip or adoring of the slightest thing Greg does is “useless”, than what, exactly, are the point of comments by anyone who loves every single thing about it? Greg doesn’t really read these posts, the arc we read’s already finished weeks ago – so why are any of us here? .It’s called a FORUM – an idea exchange and a concept that Evans supports yet you seem to have a problem grasping. So everyone who’s not in love with this storyline or ecstatic over the character development should just dummy up and appreciate it or go away?

If you want everyone to love the comic unconditionally or leave, then perhaps you might want to consider that YOU could be the one in the “wrong” location.

Finally!!! We’ve been waiting weeks to hear if Tiffany got the part.
