One thing I gotta hand to Tiffany is that I can’t help but like that her confidence isn’t shaken by her constant belittling even by her best friend. Given how often she gets disparaged yet still tries for her goal, I can’t help but want her to get a break for once. Like Mojito said yesterday, Tiffany is becoming the underdog character that Luann used to be.

It’s an all male show, Zeye is T.J. with understudy Brad, costumes by Gunther, sound effects by Knute… It’ll be a hoot!

One is as sharp as the other is clueless.

Tiffany is too self-absorbed to be that confident. She’s suffering from a severe case of self-delusion. I’m astounded that Crystal can actually stand to be around her.

so Rosa is winner, Luann is second winner, and Crystal, Delta and Bern are 4th to 6th winners?

Crystal is much cuter than Tiffany. But I guess I shouldn’t criticize Tiff when she’s down. Problem is, she seems not to realize she’s down. Tiffany needs a reality-check….

Crystal is rubbing Tiffany’s face right into reality! That’s why I like Crystal. She stays focused on reality, no matter whom she is with, male or female.

I don’t remember Luann auditioning for Eye of Zeye…

Tiffany is completely self-absorbed, and clueless, and dumb to top it off. An overall ugly personality trapped in a beautiful body. She’s a total a-hole, and doesn’t know it – the most dangerous kind of a-hole. Evans does a great job defining this vapid loser’s character.

I have a feeling the reason why Tiffany didn’t get her much desired role and why it was cast to an unknown.

Knowing Tiffany’s past schemes from the scandal that got her fired as Miss Chamber of Commerance to her backfired plan to have a pagent(sp) that took place at Pitts High and was expected to win, but didn’t. I guess that the folks behind the film knew about Tiff and decided against casting her.

In short, she got what she deserved.

Oh, Tiffany. You’re so stupid. Congrats, Luann on winning a part you didn’t audition for.

Crystal is friends with Tiffany purely for the entertainment value.

I’m surprised that Tiffany and Toni haven’t had a run in yet. Tiffany, I’m sure, would feel very threatened by Toni’s beauty.

Either all the posts or overheating from all the “making up” Brad and Toni are doing (in private).

Why are you all assuming the “unknown” is a character already in the strip? An unknown is an unknown.

Tiffany looks like the blond Muppet in the Electric Mayhem.

After all those times she broke in a grin, did little jumps, yelled “YAY” only to get huge letdowns when they announced other winners and not her – she hasn’t learned she is not all that she thinks she is. No wonder she doesn’t do well in school. There are just not enough cells in her brain to story anything.

What about Brad and Toni?

You have to like “3rd winner” in the beauty pageant. Out of six girls and only winner and runner up were announced. I wonder if she went for the part as Sheraton St. Louis. That is the name with mud all over it. But then again, it may not matter.

Actually, I am looking forward to Elwood giving Luann the part, just because many people here would get crazy. I have to admit, though, that I’m starting to feel for Tiff. She has been a very bad “Puddy Tat” in the past, but lately her claws and teeth are not as sharp and Luann seems almost immune to her ways.

I have to admire Tiffany’s optimism – even if it is masquerading as fantasy (or is it fantasy masquerading as optimism?). I like that she’s not bitter over being eliminated, whatever the reason. Greg has shown her to be somewhat likable at times, but she generally trashes that by letting her oblivious self-centered nature dominate her persona. Some of the best dialog is the byplay between Tiffany and Crystal. Of course, I think that’s true of Knute and Crystal too. Soooo… maybe Crystal is responsible for the verbal humor and the others are the foils for her wit.

Oh man, “trophy kids”, don’t get me started….“Millenial” kids do think they can be pickier about jobs and keep their high expectations because they’re the only alternative to the boomers who are retiring and being laid off. As lavishly praised as they were in school and at home, they need even more affirmation and validation in the workplace – and they want everything they feel they’re entitled to.

I’m going into Brad and Toni withdrawl. That has become my favorite storyline, although I do like all the others as well.

Let’s not forget our one resident actor — Jonah.;He can get the job, do it in drag.

Luann may not have auditioned for Eye of Zeye. .But she once played the role, replacing Tiff for a year.

Tiff, you DIDN’T star in West Side Story, you got decrowned since you took advantage of your position, and you got 3rd PLACE in that beauty pageant.

Amazing that Tiff likes hanging out with Crystal when Crystal just busts her chops every time, lol…

Is Aaron Hill Still around? I lost track of the comic strip for a while.

Just because Elwood told Tiff that the role would go to an “unknown” doesn’t mean it actually will. I’m almost certain that after milking this for a day or two more, we’ll learn that Luann was given the role on the strength of her “Hispanicface” turn in the play. And Tiff can then console herself by thinking that Luann is an unknown, which is why she got it.

This is what annoys me about this arc – it’s already got ridiculous for me when Tiffany got a shot at audiitoning, so I hope the plot doesn’t go right off the cliff with Elwood buying California or something equally improbable.

As it’s his strip, Greg has the power to use Frank DeGroot in drag as the ‘unknown’ with the Zeye role….You do know you’re a very disturbed person, right? ;D
