How did they spray paint the cameras? In yesterday’s strip, we see 4 cameras under the eaves of what appears to be a 20 foot high building. The person(s) would have needed an extension ladder to spray paint the lenses. And I don’t see how they could have done it without at least some of that activity being captured by ONE of the cameras.
I agree with Raspberry. This is the work of a professional theft ring, not petty con artists like Lil and Chubby. And we can rule out the Pyes too. I’m liking this story, don’t know about the rest of y’all.
Agree that “just a mechanic” is an insult. Problem is Slim doesn’t seem to be a very good mechanic. Since Clovia does the bookwork, she should have paid the insurance herself.
Walt broke Smokey Stover out of the Old Comic Strips Home and Smokey used the extension ladder on the back of his two-wheeler to climb up and spray-paint the cameras. Then, the Yellow Kid and Happy Hooligan drove the cars off. Case solved.
It would seem that at least one camera would show something up to the point of blackout. My next step would be to hide in a “bait” car with a loaded shotgun & cell phone ready to dial 911, & wait for the busy thieves to show up again.
Again as everything points to the Skinners, the “suprise” will be that they are not the car thieves.Clovia’s suspicions will be refuted and she will be put in her place. Peace in the Skinner household.

So if it’s not Lil and Chubby, maybe their devious minds will actually help catch the thief!

If Lil has debt or is the ring leader, professionals may be at work.
