Read Greg;s blog on kids – he said he is not comfortable around babies and young children – no wonder he has fun drawing Shannon. Shannon reflects how he feels about children her age. That also makes me wonder if there would ever be kids for Brad and Toni – Greg is not all that into children. He prefers older kids. Hopefully the new granddaughter he has will provide good materials for him to draw the young children into his strips.

Blah, blah, blah, blah – To use a real old expression, "When Tiffany was a kid she was vaccinated with a phonograph needle! I love as how while Quill’s putting in the ear plugs. Tiffany’s speech balloons get lighter and distorted!

While it is possible that Quill and Tiffany can coincidentally book the same flight, it strains creduility that she could know what seat he is in. He does not look forthcoming with information. Greg should have had Quill react immediately to this statement by her. He should have been angry and concerned about this serious privacy breach, either by the airline, or the possibility that Tiffany breached the security of the airline’s personal information. Either is illegal.

I think Quill can stop any of Tiff’s advances by a little display of affection with Luann at the airport prior to leaving. After all, he won’t be able to kiss her on New Years Eve.

Put those seat belts on, kids !!

OK I know its just a comic but does anyone besides me think that Tiffany is a dog compared to LuAnn? I mean yuck. She is ugly inside and out.

I kinda wish that they’d replace her dialogue with “Are we there yet” repeated. XD I do find it terribly unsafe that they aren’t wearing their seat belts.

Tiffany is a legend in her own mind….what there is of it…..

A cop is going to pull them over becasuse no one is wearing their seat/shoulder belts!

I love the fading type font in the third panel, indicating the success of Quill’s earplugs. And yeah, where are those shoulder straps???

Should be wearing seatbelts! And Tiff should be in a seat, not in the middle blocking Luann’s view…

And when they say goodbye at the airport, I’d like to see Greg use the same fading technique on Tiffany, herself.

How many hours in the air next to this self-absorbed airhead? Hey, it’s his fault. He had enough time to call the airline and either change his seat assignment OR his flight (I don’t know if they’d charge him an additional $100 to do the work—but we ARE talking “airline” here)

Tiff will have to check all that luggage of hers. Quill won’t, giving him and Luann time for a long goodbye.

Quill is so awesome. Although I feel really sorry for Luann. She has to sit there and listen to Tiffany gloating for about an hour.

Gosh, that evil Tiffany. She’s excited that she gets to go to LA for the first time to be on a movie set, and she’s excited she’s going with someone who she thinks is her friend (but who really is just leading her on and being passive aggressive instead of just telling her he doesn’t want to spend time with her). How… uh..awful of Tiffany, I guess? That’s what we’re supposed to think, right?

The only thing I don’t like about this strip is Greg writes all his characters to be pushovers. After all the mean-spirited and obnoxious behavior, Luann still gives Tiffany a ride to the airport. It’s hard to watch characters we like get abused all the time.

Luann will have a happy Christmas, knowing that nothing will happen on the plane or in LA. You can tell from the eye sex that she and Quill are making at each other.

I think the idiots at the Dalla Snooze re-inked the last frame balloon, I didn’t see the fogged text until seeing it here. I even went back and checked the paper and while slightly less distinct than the rest of the strip, it wasn’t significantly worse than their usual printing to see the gag.

Quill’s fascination with Tiffany’s blather seems to have run out!

Not sure if there are any Seinfeld fans out there, but I just can’t help think of the “I’m not driving him to the airport!” line, on an episode re: Keith Hernandez.

Really? And deaf people can’t drive because it is illegal seeing that they can’t hear?

I hope Quill gives her a very demostrative kiss at the airport (even a dip, maybe) and keeps the earplugs in the whole flight. Even with all that, Tiff won’t get a clue.

Gonna need those on that long flight to LA. Why did Luann agree to even let Tiffany in the car?

Is it me, or…where are the parents of these “teens”? A (possibly minor) girl flying to L.A. by herself and having classmates drive her to the airport??

It is illegal for people who aren’t hearing impaired to obstruct their hearing by wearing phones or buds, but while it’s partially about not being able to hear emergency sirens, it’s mostly about not limiting your auditory input to a single – and potentially distracting – source. Obviously the deaf don’t have ta problem with that sort of distraction.

Sorry, but I have to tell you that you are mistaken. Your EYES are what you need to be aware of your surroundings, to use your rearview mirrors, to be alert. I have several members in the family who are deaf and they are far better drivers than the non-deaf members of the family who depends on hearing to “hear” the said sirens, railroads,etc, simply because they were inattentive and did not use their “ears.” Railroads??? They cross the crossings with bars and there are railroad lights. Sirens? They are flashing bright blue and red lights. Easy to see. Ambulance? Big bright white flashing lights as well as the firetrucks’ big red vehicular body. It is not the hearing that makes you a better or safer driver. It is how you use your EYES. Ask any insurance company. Ask any police.

Ear plugs are needed because Tiff is up at an extremely high altitude right now.
