Mom: Daddy brought home a Christmas tree! Alice: Yay! Dad: It's the biggest tree my car could carry! Alice: Eegk. Mom: There's only room under the tree for a pair of socks that you'll have to share with Petey. Alice: Aghk. GAH!
A small tree is betterâ you can put it on a tall table, the better to fit loot under: and isnât that the True Meaning of Christmas?
(My nieces are tired of me trotting out the pictures of my Christmases pastâ where we got packages of socks and underwear to bulk up the present count, and didnât know any different, and were happy). Last night the lady in front of us in TâRâU had a full carriage, and spent over $400!
I have an artificial one in 3 pieces but mostly way too heavy and difficult to find the correct connections for the lights on each. It is definately not worth the bother to set it up and decorate just for myself. I set up 4 simple lighted displays this year (inside) and a few simple outdoor ones. Thatâs plenty to show my good will to neighbors who are tho only ones other than I to see them.
Yes, Steverino â kids donât even appreciate the toys that they get. They are allowed to just tear through all the packages of everything they wanted and then sit asking âis that all?â I donât remember a year when I received more than one toy, and the clothes were just the normal underwear and PJs that were what we got new. My dressier clothes were from a resale shop and I got to help chose those during the year.

The horror, the horror!!
Lots of Xmas tree jokes today. (Thatâs right, I said âXmasâ.) And speaking of Charlie Brown, be sure to see âCow and Boyâ today.

There seems to be more room inside the car, if people can fit inside it.

Put them all together, they spell âYAYEEGKAGKGAHâ a word that makes no sense to me!
