My Old School from the early ’40’s is “Three Little Fishes” from KDKA radio in Pittsburgh. For a much later version, see “Three Little Fishes (Mickey’s Fun Songs)” on YouTube.

I love you! You love me! We’re a happy family! (not that it’s weird to love an adult dinosaur named Barney)

I grew up listening to my mom’s record collection. Does anybody remember “The Sample Song” or “You Get No Bread With One Meatball”? Looking back, the most wrenching wartime song was probably “Now is the Hour” and I sang it endlessly! It’s a wonder my mother didn’t smother me!
