Bloom County was Berkeley Breathed’s magnum opus

You don’t have to miss Bloom County. It’s on GoComics.com. Repeats, of course, but I read them everyday.

I used to read that comic! LOL

Compared to Zombie Charlie Brown, a resurgence of Bloom County would be a blessing.

I really, really miss that gang.

Beautifully done crossover, Mark. Yes, they know each other’s pain.

A local bank recently changed its name to “Opus Bank” because the chairman of the board is a serious fan of classical music. Their logo is a “swash” wit a conductor’s baton. But when I first saw the name, the image that popped into my head was a cartoon penguin wearing Y-front briefs.

again, again!more, more, more!!!(i mis all those old guys.)

I kept hoping Lio would pop up in the “Pearls” recent “cartoonist war” story arc. Maybe Rat can pop up here?

Opus isn’t lost! He’s right here in my apartment, sitting on my stereo speaker next to Dogbert and The Brain!

Bloom County was awesome, Outlands was not – but I do miss Milo and co.

I do miss the well dressed little dude in the tux.

Love the hybrid, although I miss “Opus & Bill”. Fun comic.

I miss Bloom County too. At least I have all the big recently released collections. Well, not the first one, before BB hit his humor stride.

Shouldn’t it have been Opus putting Milo’s picture (or more appropriately, Binkley’s) on a pole?Opus appeared (fatter and more poorly drawn) in each successive Berkeley Breathed franchise. Most of the great Bloom County characters never saw the light of day again.

…and as Binkley once observed, Opus really resembles a puffin much more than a penguin.

Haven’t seen that penguin face in years!
