Darby looks like she’s having fun, good for her. Al-Jo needs to take a break from tree hugging, shave her armpits, put on some flip shades and become a leader or a good teamate at least.
Darby lives in the “real World”? The one where having a baby still in High School has no real consequences and she gets to act as if another Human’s lifes is not at least half her responsibility?
I hate to criticize Gil’s recruiting, but isn’t Dinny the name of Alley Oop’s dinosaur? The big fella would probably do better in the outfield, but putting him at third would certainly cut down on any baserunners rounding second.
I sense a valuable lesson on the horizon. Al-Jo is going to learn that she should not be so judgmental, while Darby is going to learn that there is nothing wrong when you hit a kid with glasses.
Darby was living in the real world and was not going to pitch until her mom stepped in and said that Darby “still got to be a child”. Something Darby’s mom might have tried saying before she had Jaxon.
as usual the strips are brainless and lack any sense of direction. after 45 years of reading this mindless strip I should know that Gil Thorpe strips often don’t make much sense, a lot like the Republican candidates

It’s OK, Al-Jo, it’s not you.

Gil won’t be impressed when Darby’s pitch sails through his office window and showers Kaz with broken glass.

Can Darby who lives in the real world, being a single mom be accepted by these girls and if she can’t does she really give hoot?

The longest conversation I’ve had with her is “Mind your own freakin’ business.”

Is it legal to pitch a softball sidearm?
zipperg over 12 years ago
It’s legal only if your follow through ends up in the next panel of the strip.

What if Jaxon is just a tatoo of a kid?

I really enjoy the blonde young lady’s clothing choices. Wonderful!
Gil puts so much time into his teams. He is great coach. I hope Milford will win this season.
