Miss Plainwell: I need to run for an hour today, but I only have 50 minutes. Frazz: Let's run with Dave. Miss Plainwell: Dave? Frazz: Dave from the track club. He's a psychologist. Miss Plainwell: What's that got to do with my 50... Ah. Frazz: Ha. Miss Plainwell: An elegant, if cheesy, solution. Frazz: Solving problems is what psychologists do.

Psychologists&psychiatrist really know how to bend time. Every time I’ve visited them it takes 30~45 minutes and the bill is for 60 minutes. :s

Wanna bet? Running for an hour treats my ADD far better than Ritalin or Adderall ever did. ;)

Never needed a psychologist, so if there weren’t your comments, I, for sure, wouldn’t have understood this strip … :)

“An hour” of a doctor’s time includes his 10 minutes to write notes, prepare for next session, etc., so each person only gets 50 minutes.

As a therapist — the other 10 minutes are spent charting so your insurance will pay the bill. Again as a therapist, I would much rather spend those 10 minutes with the client, but the insurance co dictates otherwise.
