This guy doesn’t have enough of a survival instinct to last.

Well so much for a gunfight scene.Poor Sherman. I think he should go back to working for Mr. Peabody. (grin)

He believes in honor among thieves, and is a man of his word.

Blackjack is in charge, is (in his own twisted way) honorable, and is fatally flawed by his adoration of Tracy, which will prove his undoing, I suspect.

Panel two looks so strange with all of the blue snow. The black and white version gives you the feel of a blizzard.

I almost hate to jump into the discussion about the colorist – BUT – there were two henchmen in that tractor. One had a green coat, one had a brown coat. The brown coat had the idea to shoot at Tracy, and was dumped out by Blackjack. That should have left the green coat still in the tractor, but the one driving is wearing brown. Even if the colorist is not in touch with the original artists on the dailies, you would think he or she could remember from one day to the next what colors were used.

This story get’s better and better.

I definitely see a stay at Arkham Asylum in Blackjack’s future. And an escape, and another stay, and another escape, and…

Someone seems to have missed the most obvious in panel three. Blackjack is wearing Tracy’s stolen wrist wizard on his wrist. Talk about adoration!

To jaxflash: I get my daily dose of the black and white at ComicStripNation. It’s in larger format, to boot.

Happy to see the odds are now tipped a little more in the favor of Tracy. And as long as the snow is not yellow, it’s okay.

Tracy is getting close enough to jump on the plow, and capture Blackjack.

This is definately one odd chase scene. Does Blackjack really want to get away?

The last time Tracy battled the elements like this was the exciting Modred story and the rain storm that just wouldn’t quit. I like this one more!

sherman is wearing brown and anthony is wearing green. i dug back to where sherman pushed the old man in the bank and blackjack coldcocked him for it. this is the SECOND strike for sherman, maybe thats why bj tossed him. on a related note, when bj gets into the snowplow, the BROWN SUITED thug helps him in and bj is saying “Anthony get us out of here” which i am taking to mean that he called out over the one helping him in to the actual DRIVER to get the plow going.

For those of us who grew up in Chicago, we have always known Tracy’s city is Chicago, the same as Brenda Starr was (but never named) in Chicago. So it was interesting to see Tracy call Hank O’Hare in “another city.” The ambiguity is interesting…even to the point where Gotham City, which has always been thought to be New York, was actually Chicago in the Batman films, down to the accurate representation of Lower Wacker Drive.
